From the smooth lines of the unopened box to the soft rustling of tissue paper, there are a few things in life that excite women (and often men) as much as a new pair of shoes.

Why do these objects hold such fascination for us?

And what are the components that go to make up the perfect shoe?

I hopped on the plane back in March 2011 and headed for Florence, Italy for the first time with me a suitcase and some pretty high expectations. My goal was to live a more creative life and felt that leaving behind a career to start anew was a leap of faith I was willing to take.

I created this website which act as my notebook, to explore and share thoughts and ideas, visions, and collected inspirations in my journey towards my first shoe collection. My vision — I trust you will have to wait and see.

There is more than a bit of shoe fetish in many of us. As Geoff Nicholson puts it in his novel Footsucker — “What a good shoe crucially does, must do, is reveal the foot, enhance and display it, offer a frame and a setting for it. And this is precisely the nature of my (erotic) obsession. I crave the intersection of art and nature, of the human body and the created object, the foot and the shoe, flesh and leather..

I’ll be happy to hear from you no matter where you are in the world.

Send me ideas. Send me notes or even say hello!

Here’s to a wonderful 2012!
